Can high school football teams still go to team camps?
Following the passage of a state bill that prohibited full contact at team camps, the CIF State banned helmet, shoulder pad and leg pad usage at team camps as well.
However, balls, air dummies, stand-up dummies, blocking shields, blocking sleds, tackling dummies and blocking aprons will be allowed provided they are used in a safe manner.

Where is the camp located?
Session I is at Lake Tahoe Community College in South Lake Tahoe, CA off U.S. Route 50 in the Sierra Nevada Mountains near the Nevada border and less than 2 hours from Sacramento. Session II is at South Tahoe High School.

How many teams participate in the camp?
We try to keep the number of teams around 12 per session, but it depends on the number of players per team. We attempt to max out around 500 campers per session.

Can we bring our JV and Freshman teams?
Yes, we highly encourage you bring as many players and levels as possible.

Where do teams lodge?
Lodging is at the discretion and cost of each individual team. Camp is more than happy to assist with helping find suitable locations for teams to stay nearby and to offer suggestions. Some teams pitch a tent at Camp Richardson or Tahoe Valley Campground. Some teams choose to stay at nearby motels and some teams rent out cabins.

How are my players fed?
This is up to you! If you want to provide food for camp or have your booster club provide meals, go ahead. If you would like the camp to provide food while you're in town, there is an additional charge per player.

How do I get my team from where I lodge to the school?
You may set up your own transportation or camp can arrange for a shuttle to run from each lodging area to the school on a schedule.
